- Trigram are in the Wen-wang order. Here North is upside (following chinese tradition, it should be the South instead).
- Eitel does not take account of the Chinese method of counting rings including the central circular area ("which holds and is divided in half by the magnetic needle") or Heaven Pool as the first, as well as each concentric circular strip, so called layers ("ts'eng").
